The Science behind it
There’s a big difference between burning tobacco and heating it. Unlike traditional cigarettes, BUDDZ doesn’t burn tobacco, but instead, it heats up the nicotine.
When tobacco is burnt it can reach temperatures in excess of 600⁰C. It’s this extreme temperature that’s one of the problems with smoking. Burning breaks down tobacco and produces smoke that contains more than 6,000 chemicals.
Around 100 of these chemicals have been identified by public health experts as causes of smoking-related diseases. Our science shows that by reducing the temperature, the tobacco is heated without getting burned.
The heated tobacco sticks contain up to 95% less chemicals compared to traditional cigarettes; therefore, we can significantly reduce the levels of these harmful and potentially harmful chemicals.
